Khao Chan Ngam Cave and Prehistoric Paintings
The slope area of Khao Yai Thiang is an exposed overhanging wall of sandstone referred to by the local people as Tham Khao Chan Ngam, or the Cave of the Beautiful Moon Mountain. On the overhanging protected wall are prehistoric color paintings or pictographs from 3,000 to 4,000 years ago, which reflect the life of the people living at the time. These people were farmers, lived together in communities, engaged in activities together, and practiced rites based on their beliefs.
